Overview
Collaboration across multiple teams and individuals is essential for effective and precise data collection in GHG reporting. When categorizing and validating expenses, your accounting or purchasing team is ideally suited for the task; the office administration team may find it more straightforward to gather energy consumption data; and the HR team can efficiently handle employee surveys. Having your team work together in one place is a critical success factor for your GHG assessment, so we strongly encourage you to invite them to your Greenly platform. This article guides you through the different ways of adding coworkers to your account and explains the various access levels you can choose from.
The different ways to add a coworker to your Greenly platform
The first way to invite a colleague is to click on My account>Information & Settings> go to**"Users & Roles"** and click the**"Invite member"** button.
Another way to invite colleagues to join your team is from the Progress page, through the "Add a co-worker" button.
For security reasons, we avoid adding new users on behalf of customers. It’s best for someone who already has the “Project manager” role to add the new user.
Picking different permissions for your colleagues
To safeguard your sensitive data while still benefiting from your colleagues' assistance, we provide four distinct access levels (roles). When inviting a colleague, you'll be prompted to select one of these roles based on the data they need to access or the actions they need to perform:
Project Manager — Has access to all of the platform and can assign/manage roles.
Sensitive Data Contributor — Can contribute to all of the platform including sensitive data like expenses, but lacks access to Analytics, Exports, and Apps.
Contributor — Can contribute to the platform, but does not have access to Expenses, Analytics, Exports, and Apps.
Auditor — Can access all the dashboards and exports in My Emissions, as well as the details of each data input.
