Manage complex organizational structures by activating your ESG framework across multiple connected accounts. This multi-entity setup links parent and child datapoints, allowing you to automatically consolidate data from your subsidiaries directly up to the group level.
Understand the Parent-Child Architecture
In a multi-entity configuration, the platform maps your workspace to mirror your company's exact organizational chart. This means every applicable datapoint is made available at all relevant levels of your organization.
Data entered at a lower organizational level, such as a local facility or regional subsidiary, acts as a "child" datapoint. These completed child datapoints feed directly upward into the overarching "parent" datapoint located at the highest consolidated group level.
Navigate Between Organizational Entities
You can easily switch your dashboard view to manage reporting tasks for different subsidiaries or business units without leaving the main workspace.
Navigate to the ESG menu in the main left-hand sidebar and select the Data collection tab.
Locate the Entities drop-down menu situated in the main filter bar at the top of the screen.
Click the drop-down menu to view your organizational hierarchy.
Select a specific entity name from the list to instantly filter your task table to show only the datapoints assigned to that specific level.
Review Child Entity Responses
Parent datapoints feature a specialized interface allowing you to monitor the progress and inputs of all connected lower-level accounts in one centralized location.
Open a group-level parent indicator by clicking its row in the main Data collection table.
Scroll down the datapoint form to locate the embedded entity summary table.
Review the Entity,Status, and Answer columns to verify which subsidiaries have completed their assigned child datapoints and what raw data they provided.
Tip: You should wait until all child entities display a "Completed" or "Validated" status in this table before attempting to finalize the parent datapoint.
Apply Automated Data Consolidation
Instead of manually calculating group totals, the system automatically processes the child data using predefined backend rules, such as mathematical sums, averages, maximum values, or narrative text concatenation. The platform will also automatically merge all justifications and attached evidence into the parent form.
Verify the child data is ready within the embedded entity table of your open parent datapoint.
Scroll directly below the table to locate the green Answer suggestion call-out box.
Click the hyperlinked Apply suggested answer text located inside this box.
Watch as the system automatically populates the main input fields with the consolidated data.
Review the calculated values and click the Mark as completed button at the bottom of the form to lock in your consolidated group-level response.
