1. Align with the client’s specific requests
👉 Clients might have specific requests for data processing → they will have an impact on which module format you should opt for.
🎯 Examples of common requests
Suppliers or other custom EFs (outside of Greenly’s database):
The client must have paid for their integration, and the EFs should have been validated by the R& M team
These EFs must be added to the EF Manager as company-specific EFs before you can retrieve their IDs
Example 2:
[TO BE POPULATED]
2. Choose the module that best fits your needs
🈵 Manual processing (Advanced module)
3. Data Processing
The goal of an activity-based study is to categorize a client’s data, meaning associating each activity of a specific category to the most suited emission factor.
⚠️ if you are working on a multi-year account, don’t forget to check the Rebaselining section.
🈵 Manual processing (Advanced module)
💡 When you do an analysis for a company, you should first check if a similar analysis has been done for the previous years, and check with the deal owner/client if a rebaselining of the data has been planned.
A. Commercial Lines
Open the client's completed data collection template file and verify it contains all required information
Create a copy of the Motor vehicle Portfolio Analyzer file, save it in the client folder - DON’T EDIT THE MAIN FILE
Select the option of investment type in cell D10 - this helps adjust the column headers in row 14 to best fit the investments
Copy and paste as values the data collection template into the Portfolio Analyzer (PA)'1. Data collection template' tab.
Allow the data to populate the other tabs automatically, being careful not to modify them
The main calculations are performed in the'2. Portfolio accounting' tab - use this to verify the work
Check if the attribution factor is indeed < 1
Review the checkpoints in the tab to confirm emission factors, names, and financed/absolute emissions are correct
Check for any formula breaks and right flow of data
Check the currency conversion using column AB and drag down the formula if needed to populate more rows
Check the date ratio
Spot check the EFs picked in column AG for each type of data - note that it’s normal to have N/As if the EF methodology in column AF is “GHG assessment result” as it uses the total emissions provided by the client (found in columns L-O in'1. Data collection template' tab)
Check the totals of absolute and financed emissions in tab 3 “Data to be uploaded” are matching with tab 2
note: it’s okay if there are N/As in column AA of 3. Data to be uploaded tab - this is due to no revenue value
check the date filled format
check the unit of absolute and financed emissions (t and not kg)
Graphs to be added tab
Please see step 4 of the Rollout process:
Export the'data upload' tab as a CSV file and upload it through Admeenly to display the emissions

For Distance travelled, if actual mileage not available, find the average distance travelled based on the location of use in the "EFs for MV" hidden tab and if the country is not available in the list, create a ticket for R& M to find the data
For vehicle efficiency, if actual is not available, find it online based on vehicle make and model and if not available, find average efficiency based on fuel type
Review the checkpoints in the tab to confirm emission factors, names, and financed/absolute emissions are correct
Check for any formula breaks and right flow of data
Check the currency conversion using column AB and drag down the formula if needed to populate more rows

Check the totals of absolute and insured-associated emissions in tab 3 “Data to be uploaded” are matching with tab 2

♻️ Rebaselining
No rebaselining for Insurance module.
