Navigate the data collection interface to accurately input, review, and validate your ESG metrics. By understanding the specific format requirements and layout of each form, you ensure your reporting remains compliant and fully auditable.
Access the Datapoint Forms
To begin entering your data, you must locate your assigned indicators within the main dashboard.
Navigate to the ESG Data menu in the main left-hand sidebar.
Click on the Data Collection tab.
Locate the main table displaying your indicators.
Click anywhere on a specific indicator row to open its dedicated datapoint form.
Review the Guidelines and Instructions
At the top of every datapoint form, the system provides the context required to accurately answer the prompt.
Read the Indicator main title and the Indicator description to understand the exact metric required.
Click the provided hyperlinks to access detailed Greenly Help Center articles dedicated to that specific indicator.
Click the official documentation links to review the exact regulatory text, such as EFRAG or CSRD framework requirements.
Fulfill the Format Requirements
Scroll below the instructions to find the data input area. The platform automatically customizes these fields to match the specific format required by the targeted ESG framework.
Numerical Data: Enter precise numbers into the specific text fields designated for values.
Narrative Data: Type or paste detailed text explanations into the multi-line text boxes.
Structured Data: Utilize the drop-down menus, multi-selection lists, or True/False toggle switches to categorize your information.
Tabular Data: Fill out the generated rows and columns for indicators that require multi-entry inventories or data broken down by facilities and subsidiaries.
Provide Context and Evidence
Without supporting documentation, reported information cannot be easily audited or verified. You must use the lower sections of the form to prove your inputs.
Scroll down to the Add Document section located below the main input fields.
Click the Upload a File button to attach your supporting evidence, such as reports or calculation spreadsheets.
Locate the Comments box at the very bottom of the form.
Type in the Comments box to clarify calculation assumptions, explain methodologies, or communicate with other users.
Note: If you cannot fulfill the indicator requirements because the data is unavailable or not applicable, click the Skip button located near the save options to select a reason and provide a mandatory justification.
Update the Datapoint Status
Once you have filled out the required fields and attached your evidence, you must update the datapoint’s status to progress the workflow.
Click the Save button to store your current progress without submitting the datapoint for review.
Click the Mark as completed button when you are finished to send the datapoint to the Validator.
If you are acting as the Validator, review the inputs and click either the Mark as Validated button to approve the data or the Need Changes button to send it back to the Owner for corrections.
